This table provides a helpful guide, showing up to which recommended size you can print your digital images. Based on the fact that almost all digital cameras record images with a resolution of 72 dpi, we have calculated the respective print sizes for the dpi values listed. Please note, however, that the figures here should only serve as a guideline.

In fact, many photos can usually even be printed in good quality in larger formats. The resolution (given in dpi = Dots per Inch) can be viewed and changed in many image editing programs under the menu option "Picture Size".

150 dpi for good results.
300 dpi for excellent photo prints and professional prints.
